With the support of my talented committed partners and loyal key employees, I have led our family business, formerly known as Pre-Designed Structures, from a primary builder of pre-engineered metal buildings to a multidimensional construction service company serving Southern New England.
The path to this transformation was possible by focusing on the customer with an eye on developing a business that every employee could say they were proud to be a part of.
Some of the accomplishments and values that made this possible were:
• Maintained the high level of customer satisfaction necessary for retention of top corporate and institutional clients
• Developed and implemented a business strategy based on a deliberate steady growth model, across strategic market segments, using select product delivery methods, This turned PDS into a recognized leader in both the large project public sector and the fast paced private sector for its Construction Management, Design-Build and General Contractor services.
• Increased revenues by more than ten times since tenure as President
• Through careful stewardship of corporate finances and strategic pursuit of select projects over broad markets our single project bonding limit has gone from $3 Mil to $90 Mil and total work program to $155 Mil
• By emphasizing safe working practices our EMR safety rating has remained below 1.0 and is typical within in a 10th of the lowest possible value
• Implemented our Community Extension Award program giving employees the opportunity to direct donations in their name to their chosen local charities
Since I have been president PDS has survived three significant economic downturns without loss of bonding capacity, exiting each with greater market share.
