Rick Courtney is President of Multifamily for Brass. He oversees its two multifamily investment platforms – Brass SBM™ (small-balance multifamily) and Brass M² (middle-market multifamily). Brass SBM acquires multifamily properties under $10m, while Brass M² acquires communities in the $10m-$30m range. Both platforms will operate in select target markets nationwide.
During his career, Rick has been responsible for the acquisition/disposition and asset management of 15,000 market rate and affordable units, and over 2m sq/ft of office and retail space nationwide. He has led over 600 team members during his 15+ years of executive leadership and has a deep operational background in all industry verticals.
He is a licensed real estate broker in multiple states and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Certified Property Manager (CPM) industry designations. He also holds the COS, TCS and MORS affordable housing designations. He graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business, where he received his degree in Management.
