Marc Roman, a key member of Douglas Elliman Commercial, is a well-recognized business advisor and marketing coordinator within his field. His range of experience includes acquisitions, dispositions, tenant and landlord representation, commercial relocation, assemblages as well as finding new development opportunities.
Marc has gained unique insight by experiencing a wide scope of transactions and when paired with his extensive background in finance gives him an invaluable perspective when it comes to, commercial financing, in-depth market research, business planning and detailed financial analysis that has led to the successful completion of complex negotiations across the commercial spectrum. This hybrid of experience allows him to effectively guide his clients through all stages of either the leasing or investment sales cycles in New York City and surrounding submarkets.
Prior to joining Douglas Elliman Commercial he was the deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Credit Suisse's Alternative Investments Division within Asset Management where he was also a COO of three boutique businesses and was responsible for strategic project implementation across the division globally.
Marc is an alumnus of the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and NOVA University in Portugal, where he earned degrees in Economics & Finance.
In addition to being a native English speaker he is fluent in both German and Dutch. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York State and an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Marc resides in the West Village, Manhattan with his wife and two children.
