Jose Colon

José Colón is a Senior Commercial Advisor for Jameson Commercial specializing in investment & development property sales and retail leasing.

Prior to joining Jameson, José Colón was Director of Latin America for Sheldon Good & Company where he expanded the companies reach by opening its first office outside the US in Monterrey, Mexico, focusing primarily on real estate auctions. As part of Sheldon Goods’ auction division José was able to service clients throughout the US and South America in marketing all assets groups, locally, nationally and internationally. Before joining the auction division José was a Top Producer in the company’s Brokerage division focusing on multi-family, retail leasing, and investment sales and was awarded Rookie of the Year honors by the Chicago Association of Realtors Commercial Forum. José’s diverse experience has allow him to service his clients in a wide range of assets and Chicago neighborhoods such as The Loop, Lincoln Park, Beverly, Lakeview, Bucktown, Pilsen, Gold Coast, South Shore and many others. Also it has given him the ability to work with local and national firms or the individual investor.

Mr. Colón is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate. José has served as Chairman for CIREC (Chicago International Real Estate Council), Vice-Chairman for Commercial Forum. He also had the honor to serve as a Board Director for the Chicago Association of Realtors and at a national level as a member of the Board of Directors for NAHREP (National Association of Real Estate Professionals) and served as President of the local chapter in 2006. José currently is a member of the development committees for BAPA serving the Beverly neighborhood and TRP which serves the Pilsen & Little Village. Civically he is Board Member for Friends of the Forest Preserve, Cristo Rey HS Advisory Council, DAMA and on the local Advisory Council to the President of the Dominican Republic.
