John began his career in Real Estate in the 1980’s and brings decades of unique experience that you will not find with most REALTORS®. For the past 18 years John has been the President of his own real estate management/development company while also acting as a General Manager, Sales Vice President and Global Account Manager in the sales/negotiation effectiveness industry servicing clients such as Baxter, Abbott Laboratories, Motorola Solutions, Willis/Towers Watson, CNA, AON, BorgWarner… And he is a certified Project Manager/Leader who owns, manages and has designed, rehabbed and built multi-unit/custom properties.

Being a native Chicagoan, born and raised in Lincoln Park, and having lived/studied and worked in Europe, Latin America and Germany, he has developed a vast network of contacts, locally and globally. In addition, he partners with his Brother, Matthew Scuras, who is also Jameson Commercial 2015 Top Producer with over 20 years of Commercial/Residential Real Estate experience.

John’s corporate experience combined with his commitment to efficiency and detail have helped him to develop processes that ensure your deals stay track and close quickly/profitably. Their combined experience and local relationships can often help to expedite financing, real estate law, development and construction challenges. John has crafted and negotiated numerous complex multi-year global contracts with highly trained procurement experts on the other side of the table. Having developed sales, leadership and negotiation solutions for some of America’s top corporations has given him the advantage which always benefits his customers.

He has also developed a first-hand understanding of Chicago’s political, governmental, regulatory and neighborhoods which has positioned him to be able to identify, assemble and close high margin deals.
