David D. Hopwood currently serves as the General Manager of 111 South Wacker Drive, a 1.5 million square foot, Class A, LEED Platinum office property in the Chicago CBD. David also serves as a Group Manager overseeing a five million square foot commercial office portfolio encompassing eleven Class A properties both downtown and in the Chicago suburban markets.
David has more than 30 years of experience in property management and leasing, primarily in the Chicago area and predominately representing Ownership.
Prior to his current position, David worked as the General Manager of the 1.7 million square foot 71 South Wacker Drive Class A office property in the West Loop and on the start-up of 353 North Clark, a 1.2 million square foot, LEED Gold development property in River North. He joined JLL in 2006 at the 600 acre Cantera development in the western suburbs and was responsible for all property management services within the JLL suburban Chicago office portfolio.
David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign. He is a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management, a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Accredited Professional and a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker.
He also serves on the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA/Chicago) Labor, Nominating, TOBY Judging and Taxation Committees, on the IREM Chicago Chapter No. 23 Premier Awards Committee and as a Volunteer Marshal at the BMW Championship benefitting the Evans Scholar Foundation.
