In 2000 Matt Widdows announced the grand opening of HomeSmart Real Estate to the Phoenix, AZ marketplace with only two agents. Over the course of several years, HomeSmart catapulted to the top of the Arizona real estate market and grew to one of the largest and most productive real estate companies in the United States. In 2010 Widdows and his team began franchising the highly-adaptable brokerage model.
