Charles Markopoulos, President-Principal and founder of Akton Realty Corporation, he is a 26-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry. His primary fields of expertise include site analysis and acquisition; marketing and leasing; zoning and land planning; development; and construction. His knowledge and negotiation of Tax Incremental Financing enabled many development projects to come to fruition within the City of Chicago and other municipalities. Mr. Markopoulos received his Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois.
Steffan A. Aliferakis, Vice President-is a 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry experienced in the sale and lease of retail, investment, office and industrial real estate. He has represented numerous developers and private investors, as well as corporate and institutional clients in their acquisition and disposition of real estate assets. Mr. Aliferakis received his Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing and Finance from and his Masters in Business Administration degree from DePaul University.
Deborah Bourland has been in the commercial real estate industry for over 9 years and serves as Office Manager. She manages all administrative functions for Akton Realty and the other affiliated development and construction companies and is also responsible for managing the accounting and other financial aspects of all the companies.
Michelle Tedford
Michelle Tedford is the Director of Property Management. She currently manages Akton’s entire real estate portfolio and provides services overseeing all responsibilities for day to day property management including site management and Landlord liaison for properties. Michelle also oversees and directs contractors in maintenance and repairs, facilitates remodeling of shopping centers and works with tenants on maintenance needs. Michelle received her Bachelors of Arts and Science degree in Communications from the University of Colorado and has two years of residential property management experience.
Memberships in professional associations include the International Council of Shopping Centers, Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors, the Illinois CCIM Chapter, Illinois Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
